article460Nearly 25% of Dengue cases recorded are school children, the WHO Sri Lanka stated yesterday (28).

In its official twitter page, WHO Sri Lanka observed that the “Aedes mosquito bites during the day with peal biting time around 6 to 10 am and 3 to 6 pm.”

WHO Sri Lanka requested parents, teachers and other responsible parties to follow dengue prevention measures with schools reopening after three weeks.

According to the Health Ministry, over 44,000 Dengue cases were reported in 2022. As per the National Dengue Control Program 8,200 Dengue cases were reported in July.
